We make no secret of our soft spot for 1920s and 1930s homes, and we’re always delighted when we are invited to discuss a project in a home from this period. This property is nestled in the rolling hills of Disley, Cheshire. And while our portfolio of entrance doors is enviable, there was really only one style that would capture the heritage of this home: the Newark Rockdoor.
The Lantern glass design combines bevels and glue chipped glass, both features that are perfect for a 1920s home. In a nod to times gone by, our client chose the warmth of polished gold furniture and paired it with a gentle, cream hue to tie in with their home’s rendered finish.
